Agria Parade 2026: Bright sunshine and roaring engines in Möckmühl

Möckmühl is the ultimate destination for enthusiasts of historic Agria farm equipment.

The event was a resounding success: Despite midsummer temperatures exceeding 33 degrees, the drivers and the fantastic visitors lining the streets were in high spirits.

From the Past to the Present: agria Museum, Exhibition Hall, and Assembly Area

Even before the parade officially began, technology enthusiasts got their money’s worth. Between 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., the Agria factory opened its doors. Managing Director Dr. Goetz Viering invited visitors to explore over 75 years of company and technical history in the lovingly curated Agria Museum.

A particularly eye-catching and true highlight among this year’s exhibits was the rare “mowing boat,” which drew many amazed glances. Powered by an agria 1700, it was used for mowing reeds and riverbanks from the water. The drive was performed either by a wheel or by a blade attached to the wheel.

But it wasn’t just about nostalgia: In addition to the historical treasures in the museum, guests also had access to agria’s modern showroom, where the current product lineup was on display. Here, the fully autonomous agria 9700e drew particular attention—an impressive exhibit that demonstrates how smart, self-driving technology of the future is revolutionizing modern landscape management.

For many visitors, another absolute highlight was the exclusive tour of the assembly halls. Our guests had the wonderful opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the assembly process and learn how our machines are built at our home base in Möckmühl. Over cool drinks, coffee, and ice cream, visitors were able to trace the fascinating evolution from the first historic single-axle mowers to today’s state-of-the-art professional technology. And even the youngest Agria fans got to try their hand at the agria 9600’s Fernbedienung, taking a few virtual laps off-road to experience just how easy it is to operate our mowing tracks.

The highlight: The parade through downtown

Starting at 2:30 p.m., the 42 participants gathered with their meticulously restored historic vehicles at the cemetery parking lot on Roigheimer Straße. Right on time at 3:00 p.m., the procession set off at a walking pace. The route led from Roigheimer Straße directly onto Hauptstraße and straight through downtown Möckmühl to the market square.

A special highlight was the expert commentary at the Upper Market Square, near the Mechita Fountain. There, the two agria experts, Gerhard and Ruben Zimmermann, presented the individual vehicles and their unique features in detail. Thanks to the participant forms collected earlier near the media library, spectators were able to learn fascinating details about the machines, which significantly enhanced the quality of the event.

Hands-On Technology at the Market Square

After the parade, the Upper Market Square transformed into a lively open-air trade show. In addition to the parade participants’ vintage vehicles, proudly displayed there, visitors could admire an exclusive selection from the current fleet of machines. Technology enthusiasts and trade visitors took the opportunity to check out absolute highlights such as the powerful agria 5900 Taifun implement carrier, the remote controlled agria 9500 high grass rotary mulcher, the agria 8100 weed brush, and the cutting-edge, remote controlled agria 9700e All-electric-tool-carrier up close.

Awards Ceremony and a Festive Finale

Immediately following the parade, another highlight awaited the participants: the awards ceremony honoring the three best-restored and most elaborately prepared agria vintage cars. Starting at 5:00 p.m., the band “ApolloJazz” provided the perfect finale to the afternoon with musical entertainment on the Lower Market Square, while the town festival continued to invite visitors to linger until 9:00 p.m.

1st Place: Agria 4800L, built in 1990, start number 9
2nd place: Agria 8700, built in 1972, start number 19
3rd place: agria 1500, built in 1950, start number 26

A huge thank you!

An event of this magnitude would be unthinkable without many helping hands. A huge thank you goes out to all the riders, organizers, the emcees, the track marshals, all the volunteers, and, of course, the spectators lining the streets. City Manager Stefanie Keck also thanked all participants on behalf of the city administration for their dedication.

We’re already looking forward to the next one!
