Mulching
Mulching is a central cutting measure in professional green space maintenance that goes far beyond traditional lawn mowing. The concept of mulching means cutting, shredding and depositing plant material in a place where the soil and the environment can immediately absorb it
In contrast to traditional mowing, where the cuttings have to be collected and transported, mulching leaves the shredded cuttings on the surface, where they biodegrade. This closes the ecological cycle completely: The valuable nutrients contained in the blades of grass are returned directly to the soil instead of being lost to composting or transportation. Regular mulching makes the soil more vital and resistant, the mulch protects it from heat and dehydration, and weed pressure is significantly reduced.
With the right agria mulcher, this ecological working method becomes an efficient task - perfect for professional landscapers, local authorities and private landowners who value sustainable land maintenance.
Different types of Mulcher attachments are suitable depending on the vegetation.
Mounted rotary mower
Mounted rotary mowers are particularly suitable for light to medium vegetation. The clippings are mulched, i.e. cut, shredded and deposited evenly. The agria Mounted rotary mower works according to the principle of fast rotating, horizontal blades and shreds the clippings into fine, homogeneous mulch structures through multiple passes. Height-adjustable Wheels allow the Cutting height to be individually adjusted. The particularly clean cutting pattern and even mulch distribution make the Mounted rotary mower ideal for well-kept green spaces, meadows and parking lots.
The advantages at a glance:
- Intensive meadow maintenance on flat and slightly sloping surfaces
- Grassland and parking lot maintenance with high cutting quality requirements
- Forage production with mulching effect, where the shredded forage remains on the surface
- Ecological grassland maintenance, where the focus is on soil improvement

The agria Flail mower is the professional solution for demanding terrain and dense, woody vegetation. Spiral flails on a rotating Shaft cut, transport and shred the clippings by means of Opposite blades. The patented short chopping bar also produces a particularly fine cutting pattern. With laterally offset Drive at 100 and 120 cm width, ideal for edge work. Overrunning brake and spring steel protective flaps ensure maximum safety, automatic Belt tightener enables maintenance-free operation. Wear inserts are optionally available to protect the housing and reduce noise. The Insect friend deflector scares up living creatures - ideal for ecologically sensitive areas.
The advantages at a glance:
- Extreme terrain (forest edges, embankments, uneven terrain)
- Woody vegetation and shrubbery
- Forestry and undergrowth maintenance
- Fallow land and nature conservation areas where robust shredding is required
- Intensive municipal green space maintenance

The agria Safety Mulcher is a specialized mulcher variant that combines maximum safety with professional mulching results. Specially designed for Insert, the Safety Mulcher offers additional safety features for working in difficult to access or potentially dangerous terrain
The operating principle of the Safety Mulcher is based on a controlled shredding chamber that safely picks up the material, shreds it and deposits it on the surface in a controlled manner. This is particularly valuable when working on slopes, in nature conservation areas or on roadsides, where safe control of the implement is a top priority. The patented safety mulching technology almost completely prevents stones and other foreign objects from being thrown out.
The advantages at a glance:
- Steep slope work where manual work or working from a tractor would be too dangerous
- Nature conservation areas and ecologically sensitive areas where precise control is required
- Roadside work on busy routes where safety is paramount

The grass clippings left behind serve as a natural fertilizer and Guard the soil, resulting in a healthier, denser lawn.
The agria 3600 BM is a Two-wheel tractor or single-axle machine designed for versatile applications in horticulture and landscape maintenance. In addition to the Cutter bar mower, Sweepers, sickle mowers or snow blades can also be mounted, for example. Unlike the agria 3600, the agria 3600 BM cannot be used for soil cultivation.
The main difference between mowing and mulching lies in how the clippings are handled. When mowing, the grass is cut with a Lawn mower and the clippings are collected in a grass catcher or raked away and disposed of. Mulching, on the other hand, involves finely chopping the clippings with a mulching mower and spreading them on the lawn. There it rots and serves as a natural fertilizer and protects the soil from drying out.
