Status of compatibility with the requirements
This website is not fully compliant with the accessibility regulations that apply to us. In detail:
- PDF documents: Some of our PDF documents are not barrier-free. We are working on adapting these as quickly as possible or providing accessible alternatives.
- Videos: Some of our embedded videos do not currently have subtitles. We will endeavor to provide subtitles for all videos in the future.
- Images without alternative text: Some images on the website do not have alternative text. We are constantly checking and updating this content.
- There are invalid aria attribute values on individual pages. These are not recognized by screen readers and are therefore not displayed correctly.
- On some pages there are Inserts with multiple Aria IDs. This makes it difficult to navigate the website with screen readers.
- There are tables on individual pages that are not created correctly. Not all table headers are assigned to table data. It is not always clear which table content belongs to which table header.
- On some pages, the contrast between text and background is too low due to our company CI (main colors rot #E6000F and green #4eaf46) . Adjusters are possible via the eye-ble contrast setting or dark mode.
- On individual pages, links cannot be distinguished from the surrounding text or images.
Disproportionate load
The following content is not provided barrier-free because this would result in a disproportionate burden for us:
- Complex interactive applications: Certain interactive applications and special features on our website require significant financial and human resources to make them fully accessible. We are constantly looking at ways to improve, but cannot remove all barriers immediately due to the high costs involved.
- Product configurator
- Spare parts search
- Dealer search
- Historical content: Older content that was created before the current accessibility guidelines came into force may not be fully accessible. Subsequent adaptation of this content would require disproportionately high expenditure. However, new content will be created in accordance with the current Standards.
Accessible alternatives
For our non-accessible content, we provide the following accessible alternatives:
- telephone help hotline at: +49 6298 39-0
Evaluation methods
- Use of a template that already covers various accessibility topics
- Screen reader
- SEO checker
- ADA and WCAG compliance checker
- Web accessibility evaluation tools
